Additional notesThe Cemetery/Crematorium is situated 3 miles from Keighley on the outskirts of the village of Oakworth. The Cemetery was opened in 1906, and in 1960 the then Keighley Council had the cemetery chapel converted into a crematorium to serve the local area. It is one of the smallest in the country, but visitors are impressed by the site with views down the Aire Valley. The Cemetery is still used, and there is a section for cremated remains plots. Memorial plaques can be placed in the Garden of Remembrance, which is surrounded by a woodland area with paths. There is a separate Book of Remembrance room behind the Chapel.
