Burial choicesProvision for full burial, burial of cremated remains, scattering of ashes in the wild flower meadow area. There is an area for pets and also a section for people who wish to buried alongside their pets

ParkingThe car park would take up to 25 cars. The Craven Heifer car park can also be used.

AccessibilityThe surface of the car park and paths is quarry bottoms crushed. Not ideal for wheelchairs, but not impossible. Chairs are used if required at the graveside.

Public transportPride of the Dales bus service stops hourly at The craven Heifer. Traveling between Skipton and Grassington. See www.prideofthedales.co.uk

Additional notesTarn Moor is a virgin site opened in Nov 2002. Originally meadowland. A long term woodland management plan is in place, to produce a predominantly Oak woodland, open pasture and a wild flower meadow area. To date over 420 burials have taken place, including 130 intered cremated remains and 45 scattered ashes. 92 pets are buried also. An industrial gazebo can be used if the weather is inclement, but also makes a nice focal point for a funeral.

Burial charges and memorial permit fees are different. Confirm current charges directly with the authority.

Published costs and feesSingle burial - Â£800.00; single burial of cremated remains - Â£180; scattered ashes Â£70 Plus additional fee of Â£50 for woodland maintenance A discount of 25% for people residing in Skipton. For people residing outside Craven an extra 50% is payable A double plot - 10% discount. a 50% non-returnable deposit on reservation of a plot. Pets - up to terrier and cremated remains - Â£85; standard dog-Â£150;Large dog-Â£290 pony/donkey - Â£580 Plus additional fee of Â£25 for woodland maintenance
