Cambridge Bereavement Services have adopted the Charter for the Bereaved, which incorporates 33 rights concerning Burial and Cremation services and Memorial regulations. It is important to realise that along with the rights the bereaved also have responsibilities to ensure that they comply with the regulations that have been adopted for the benefit of all who visit and work within the Cemeteries. The responsibility for the maintenance and safety of the Memorial erected is that of the family. To aid this, the Authority insists that all Memorials are erected in accordance with the Code of Working Practice compiled by NAMM(National Association of Monumental Masons), and that all Memorial Masons are BRAMM(British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) accredited.
